Setting up your own environmentally-friendly business can be challenging enough, but in a tough economic climate, and little experience, success can be even harder to achieve.

However, with the help of the Southend YMCA, young disadvantaged entrepreneurs will be given a fighting chance, thanks to the conversion of a dilapidated building into a brand new eco-hub facility providing affordable workspace, meeting rooms and conference facilities.

The old St John's Stables, in Southend, are set to be transformed into the new eco-hub, which will provide vital support to help fledgling businesses during a crucial stage in their development.
